    Got my coilovers installed...

How much travel do you have before hitting the bump stops? Also need to know if they are hard or progressive. Looks like you're pretty low, so you may just be whacking into the bump stops on every bump, which would feel like the suspension is made out of bricks. Gotta make a choice - low or...

    New brakes!

FWIW, rear end squat is a double sided sword. It's actually best if the rear stays right where it is. Squat is better than lift though. And as said, it really depends on how the rear suspension is designed. A car with too much squat will cause the rear tires to be lively while the suspension is...

    Kia Stinger Aftermarket Wheel Options

I like rubber! Don't like the ride quality of tires below a 40 series, and prefer this kind of look. I'm an old school muscle car guy, so moving from 14" rims to 18" rims is enough evolution for me. :D I also think the semi-stretched look of the stock PS4s is awful. And I tore THREE front right...

    Kia Stinger Aftermarket Wheel Options

Wheels: TSW Nurburgring in Matte Gunmetal, 18x8, +35mm offset front, 18x9.5 +40mm offset rear, special order gunmetal center caps Tires: Nitto 555 G2, 245/45/18, 275/40/18 Suspension: stock The rear comes very close to lining up with the wheel arch, so lowering might be a problem. There's room...

    Bolts - My interview

:D Self-awareness is the first step to recovery. Since those bolts are drilled for safety wire I think you should wire them! Run a black wire around the brace. ;)

    Catch Can Thread

You have to dip your toe into the diesel world to find many cans with integral drains. I particularly like the Pro Vent 200 (and its numerous copies).

    Factory paint thickness

Yup, hence why I asked. A generic $20 tool is almost worth the packaging it ships in. [biggrin] Well, 110 micron is ~4.3 mil, so probably in the right ballpark. Resolution is only down to 1 mil which isn't all that useful...

    Factory paint thickness

I checked about a dozen places - roof, hood, LF & RF door

    Factory paint thickness

Anyone measured their paint thickness, or asked their detailer? I bought a cheap'n'cheery piece of junk off Amazon (*) and it says the paint thickness is only 2-3 mil. I'm not expecting a concours paint job or anything, but that seems surprisingly thin. (*) Since I heavily invested in the paint...

    Cquence brake rotors

Right. The OE US compound is ..... marginal? It has a habit of leaving uneven deposits on the rotor, and, IMO, has a major outgassing problem. So replacing the rotor gives you a fresh surface! But, replacing the pads with another set of OE pads just prepares you to do it all over again. It seems...

    Cquence brake rotors

It's not the rotors, it's the pads. Replace the pads and get the rotors ground or replaced.

Who would purchase the bi-modal exhaust if it was available in North America?

As long as it's after the cats, you could get refused inspection for unsafe exhaust exit (if it's before the rear wheels and the tech actually inspects it, but this varies by state and county) or a ticket for noise if a cop hears you. If it's before the cats then you'd be refused inspection for...

    After market control arms?

Er.... the stock rear arms have camber and toe adjustment. Sure, they're stamped steel and not tubular, but an adjustable front lower arm is more important. All-out track guys may have some use for the adjustable rear uppers, but more likely to just cause problems.

    After market control arms?

Where have you seen camber bolts for the Stinger? I haven't seen anything outside of the coilover community - and there it's part of the upper mount. I haven't removed a lower arm, but I suspect the entire front suspension is hard mounted - non adjustable.

First use of my Glorious Spare Tire

Same with any spare. 60psi tires leak down pretty quick, so any time you check your tires and at least once a season. A spare will leak down to 40psi within a few months, at which point it's only useful for keeping the disc brake off the pavement.

    After market control arms?

Clearly you haven't looked under your car yet.....

    After market control arms?

The rear has camber adjustment. The front doesn't - at least not explicitly that I can tell.

    Stock brake pads vs others

Not my thread. Right below this one, title "Brakes!"

See the thread almost immediately below this one?

    Stock brake pads vs others

Extremely limited still. Look up the options @ KharTunerz. He's the only one that's done the leg work and gotten some options put together. Nick also put up a thread somewhere (the other forum?) announcing the availability and a quick comparison between the four options. I still haven't found...
